English is NOT flexible, LOL??
"English is not flexible, whoever told you that English is flexible?? English has extremely strict grammar rules to follow so it is not flexible. I have taught English for N years and i can tell you that English isn't flexible. Prove to me that it's flexible! I give you two statements, go search grammar books and find any sentences that don't meet the two statements on the whiteboard and show me NEXT WEEK"
- quoted from our English For Science tutor, XXXMX.
Well that's NOT EXACTLY what he said as i did not purposely copy or record it. Just a 'summary' of what he said. =.=
Anyway, the two statements he wrote was:
1. Direct object can change places with indirect object.
2. Never place an adverb between a verb and its direct object.
LOLz what are 'direct object' and 'indirect object?' And what he wants us to prove?? WTF??
Ok ok. I know my readers are confused.
Heres what has happen.
We had our English for Science test today and before that something happen that made me so pissed off with the tutor, which i dont want to talk about it anymore as it makes me SO PISSED OFF. Then after handing in our papers, he return the test papers to us and ask us to mark with red pen based on the marking scheme a.k.a his so called PERFECT answers. WTF??!!! Ask us to mark our friends' TEST PAPER?? =.= How on earth are we going to mark active and passive voice and the cloze text?? !!!!! As if we are some sort of genius=.=
Ok nevermind we mark anyway and ask him whether this sentence is correct and whether that answer is suitable or not as of course our answers will be different than his. You know what he said? He said that WE MUST FOLLOW HIS ANSWERS. EXACTLY. WTH. If we follow his so called rule then WHOLE CLASS FAIL LO. Everyone have different answers wei=.=
Then a friend of mine say English is flexible; there many ways to write one thing and many answers for another thing. Then he start saying THE ABOVE 'QUOTE'. WTF!
Can anyone tell me what is direct object and indirect object?? =.=
